Misc.: Los Angeles City Fire Department

On the afternoon of Saturday, August 14, 2004, Firefighter Jaime L. Foster was killed in the line of duty after having assisted in the extinguishment of a residential structure fire located in the community of Encino.

As Firefighters were leaving the scene of the fire, there was a single vehicle accident near the scene that caused fatal traumatic injuries to Firefighter Foster. Despite the combined efforts of our Firefighters, Paramedics and Hospital Emergency Department personnel, Firefighter Foster was declared deceased at Tarzana Hospital.

Her family, friends, and the members of the Los Angeles Fire Department are mourning this tragic loss.
